Enterprise decision governance · In active development
Make important business decisions easier to review and govern.
DQNavigator is developing a connected Enterprise environment for decision evidence, review, and follow-up. A working core is in place, with broader platform management and organizational governance layers being built and integrated.
Discuss enterprise useCurrent Enterprise development status
Development update: . The Enterprise core already includes opportunities, lifecycle gates, decision cycles, evidence snapshots, review and assessment, follow-up actions, portfolio views, and role-based access.
Work is continuing on enterprise platform management, organizational governance, and the integration of those layers with the existing core. This is an actively developing product, not a generally available, complete enterprise rollout. Deployment scope and suitability need to be discussed against your organization's requirements.
The DQ for Teams workshop and DQ for Management workshop are available now for facilitated delivery. They provide a practical starting point while Enterprise development continues.
What is decision governance software?
Decision governance software helps organizations define who owns a decision, what evidence is needed, how it will be reviewed, and what happens after approval. DQNavigator applies a Decision Quality framework to this work, connecting the decision frame, alternatives, information, values, reasoning, and commitment.
It is designed for decision owners, strategy and project teams, PMOs, reviewers, assessors, and executives who need a consistent way to examine important choices. The focus is the quality of the decision process and its supporting evidence.
From scattered evidence to a reviewable decision
A recommendation may arrive with a presentation, a spreadsheet, and several versions of the supporting assumptions. Reviewers then need to establish which evidence is current and whether the alternatives were compared on the same basis.
DQNavigator provides a connected decision workspace and review process. Teams develop their evidence, reviewers challenge the package, and management assesses a frozen baseline before discussing strengths, gaps, and conditions.
The workflow the Enterprise core supports
- Define the opportunity and decision. Establish the decision owner, scope, roles, and the choice that needs to be made.
- Develop the evidence. Work through the six Decision Quality steps, including alternatives, uncertainties, evaluation criteria, and reasoning.
- Review a defined version. Give reviewers read-only evidence and capture structured challenge before the decision progresses.
- Assess independently. Management participants assess the same evidence baseline before facilitated discussion.
- Record commitment and follow-up. Keep required actions, conditions, ownership, and outcomes connected to the decision history.
Capabilities implemented in the core
- Decision workspaces organized around six Decision Quality steps
- Organization, opportunity, decision, and role structures
- Version history and review-revision cycles
- Independent assessment and controlled results release
- Decision conditions, required actions, and outcome tracking
How is this different from task management?
Task management tracks delivery work. Decision Quality work examines whether a choice has an appropriate frame, meaningful alternatives, reliable information, explicit trade-offs, sound reasoning, and commitment. DQNavigator helps teams prepare and assess that evidence before and after a decision is made.
Does the platform make decisions for management?
No. Analysis and assessment inform human judgment. Decision owners and authorized leaders remain responsible for the decision. A strong process improves the basis for a choice; it cannot guarantee a particular outcome.
Start with one decision process
For an initial discussion, identify one recurring decision, the roles involved, the evidence currently used, and how review and approval work today. That gives us a concrete basis for discussing the implemented core, the capabilities still in development, and whether an evaluation would suit your requirements.
